INVENTIONS OF A CENTURY

Hello friends!

Whit this document, I say the ten more important invents for me in the XIX century. And posibility you see and read much anecdots that refer of chemical, it this because I study for Lab Chemist and  I like know when the scientists in the past discovered or published some idea for increment the cognizance.

Continue I put a timeline where say the age and the name of inventions, law or other contribution by the chemical.

Timelime of the century XIX.

Modern Atomic Theory

In the start of the century, the atomic theory was a concept 8philosophical, until that Jhon Dalton did himself model atomic in 1808 . Who say a element chemical had atoms same and exclusive, and althought these can´t be divided, can form other structures chemicals.

Some laws helped for create was:
  • Law of conservation of the mass, to Antoine Lavoisser.
  • Law of the definite proportion, to Joseph Louis Proust.
  • Law of Avogrado.
This theory help for understan the microcope world that every are trained, and after the chemestry was considered a science finally.

 Law of Avogadro

In 1814 Amedeo Avogadro public his law that say:
"The atomic or atom-gram of different elements contain the same number of atoms."

He acept the existence of molecule whit have two or more atoms. In a chemical reaction one molecule of reagent must react with one or more reactive molecules, resulting one or more molecules of product, but a molecule can´t react with a incomplete number of molecules, because the minimum unit of reagent is the molecule. Therefore, exist an interaction between a number simple complete of the molecules, and of the reactants, and between these molecules and the product. Jhon Dalton used the law of Avogrado and his formule by explanding your inestigation under atoms.

Phosphorus match

The firts phosphorus match exist in 1669, but this for the high cost by their manufacture not on sale. After, in 1830 appeared the phosphorus of friction but this not contender phosphorus. Jhon Walker in his laboratory see the formation a drop dry in a pice of wood, and to rub whit the  rock, this burned.

First was a interteinment for Walker and never intent sale this invent.

Synthesis Urea

As organic compounds, although it was known a number from long ago, had not paid attention to its study from the chemical point of view due to the widespread belief, known as vitalism, that organic compounds were formedthrough the action of a vital force, which was only present in living organisms. This belief was slowly overtaken from the synthesis of urea, made by the German Friedrich Wöhler in 1828 from ammonium cyanate, and, above all, for the preparation of acetic acid from inorganic materials, made by Adolph Wilhelm Hermann Kolbe 1844.

First Modern Refinery

Here where I live, is a region of work under refiney. PEMEX have a industrial plant enormous, produce much services thanks of the procedurs aplicated on the oil. But, where from all this?

In 1854 and 1856 is located the event when Ignacy Lukasiewicz put start the first modern refinery. They had a small because the demand of refined fuel was still small. Treated oil to manufacture artificial asphalt, machine oil and lubricants, and fuel for the kerosene lamp Łukasiewicz. As kerosene lamps gained popularity the refining industry grew in the area.

Bases spectroscopy

The names of Robert Wilhelm Bunsen and Gustav Robert Kirchhoff (1824 - 1887) just remember many people now a lighter and rules relating to electronic circuits. However, the collaboration of these two German scientists in Heidelberg was instrumental in the development of spectroscopy.

Bunsen and Kirchhoff developed a device called a spectroscope that can observe spectra of various substances.

Spectroscopy is based on that heating certain substances, for example by a flame, they emit light. If the emitted light is passed through a prism, breaks down into a set of known radiation spectrum.

Telephone
Around 1857, Antonio Meucci constructed a telephone to connect your office to your bedroom, located on the second floor, due to his wife's rheumatism. But he lacked the money to patent his invention, so that was presented to a company that paid no attention, but that not returned the materials.Apparently, and this is not proven, these materials fall into the hands of Alexander Graham Bell, who used them to develop your phone and made it their own.In 1876, after discovering that to transmit human voice could only be used a continuous stream, the Scottish-born American inventor Alexander Graham Bell built and patented a few hours before Elisha Gray fellow first phone capable of transmitting and receiving human voice their quality and timbre. Nor should we neglect the Thomas Alva Edison, which introduced significant improvements in the system, among which is the carbon granule microphone.

This invention was and is very important in the evolution of the society. Whitout it, all can´t talk whit persons live in other countries and continents. And this not is aporting idea of cemical, is a very important in the timeline.

Periodic board of the elements

The first periodic table was designed by Russian chemist Dmitri Mendeleev 1869 and by the German Julius Lothar Meyer independently in 1870.Thanks to the distribution made, Mendeleev was able to predict the existence of undiscovered chemical elements and physical and chemical properties that would have. His isolation was done soon after and confirmed the predictions made by the Russian chemist, which gave strong support to his periodic table.

Subsequently, the original periodic table of Mendeleyev had to be modified to include groups of items that were not predicted (noble gases, lanthanides) or are synthesized in laboratories because there are not the kind (actinide) giving rise to the current periodic table. The following figure is a modern periodic table, the official version of the IUPAC, with the known chemical elements.

Every chemicals use this board and known it elements. Is a veru important tool.

First Refrigerator

Between 1868 and 1869 focused on the analysis of industrial refrigeration and its applications. Although initially intended only for the artificial ice-making consumption, soon turned to the manufacture of refrigeration equipment for food preservation. Introduced metal ether and trimethylamine in the industry, and in 1876 won the first refrigerator manufacturing.

That same year he outfitted a ship, the Fridge, to transport refrigerated meat. Thus took place the first long-distance transport between Buenos Aires and Rouen. Thus began the intense meat trade between Europe and America.

Electrical enginering

A late nineteenth century electrical engineering got to use electricity in industrial and residential applications. Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison played a leading role in expanding and developing the use of electricity, their jobs allowed the advent of the second industrial revolution.Today electricity is ubiquitous to everyday life in developed countries: from different energy sources (hydro, thermal, nuclear), the electricity used by households and industry.

  1. Alberto friend I love your project, the information is correct and is well summarized, very good illustrations and the timeline is very well done nothing more than if I had recommended that the line had done in word and there you have done better and with more space, which is nice but I would have stayed do better word, I congratulate you did excellent.
